BEDROOM - RETREAT
This space feels like a warm hug at the end of a long day. It’s calm, welcoming, and thoughtfully layered with natural textures and soft tones that make you want to kick off your shoes and stay awhile. The palette leans into cozy neutrals, creamy whites, warm woods, and soft taupes, brought to life with subtle textures like the boucle pouf, woven rattan, and the silky drape of the curtains.
The rattan egg chair adds a playful, personal touch—a little escape within the room that feels both fun and functional. Its curved shape softens the space while its natural material ties in effortlessly with the earthy design story. Nearby, oversized pillows and layered decor create that effortless, lived-in comfort that makes the space feel warm without being overly styled.
In the bedroom, soft blue tones in the bedding offer a fresh contrast, giving the space a gentle lift without losing its peaceful vibe. Everything works together to support a calm, grounded atmosphere, nothing feels too precious or out of reach.
This isn’t just a space that looks beautiful, it’s a space that feels good to be in. Approachable, balanced, and real. The kind of room that welcomes you home and encourages you to stay a little longer.
Design Details Make the Difference
When it comes to designing a bedroom that feels like a true retreat, it's the subtle furniture swaps that really shift the mood.
Swipe through and you’ll see two different corners of this serene, nature-inspired space—each one anchored by a statement chair that sets the tone.
- On one side: the rattan egg chair. It's playful, a little boho, and gives that breezy, beachy vibe. Paired with textured pillows and soft sunlight, this corner says, “come sip your morning coffee and daydream.”
- On the other side: the bouclé swivel chair. Rounded, soft, and grounding. This nook leans into quiet luxury—perfect for curling up with a book or a slow Sunday reset. The warm neutral palette and organic textures create a space that feels calm, cocooning, and elevated.
- Both chairs are beautiful, but notice how they completely change the energy of the room. One is playful, the other polished. One is open, the other enveloping.
- That’s the beauty of intentional design. It’s not just about style, it’s about how space feels.

Family Entertainment Lounge
I’m so excited to share this vision for your living space! My goal was to create a warm, grounded, and sophisticated atmosphere that reflects both your love for music and your desire for a refined yet inviting home.
Key Design Elements:
-Music-Inspired Accents – Your passion for music takes center stage with beautifully displayed guitars, seamlessly blending art and function.
- Your Cozy and Elegant Fireplace Feature – The textured tile fireplace adds a striking yet soothing focal point, making the space feel anchored and welcoming.
- Acoustical Wood Paneling for Enhanced Sound & Style – The slatted wood paneling behind the TV and bar area is more than just a visual statement—it’s made of acoustical panels that improve sound quality by reducing unwanted echoes and absorbing excess noise. This means clearer audio whether you're playing music, watching a movie, or simply relaxing in the space. The paneling also adds warmth and texture, bringing depth to the overall design.
- Comfort-First Seating – Your plush sectional, adorned with soft, neutral-toned pillows and throws, ensures this space is not only stylish but incredibly inviting.
- Organic & Earthy Accents – Thoughtfully placed greenery and curated décor keep the design feeling fresh, adding vibrancy and balance.
You mentioned that you are planning to build a dry bar within the next year or so, I wanted to incorporate a visual for you with this beautifully designed bar area that balances sophistication and functionality. The navy cabinetry with gold hardware creates a refined contrast, while the marble backsplash and open shelving add elegance and airiness. The wood slatted paneling on either side not only frames the space visually but also serves an acoustical purpose, helping to reduce echo and improve sound quality. This is especially beneficial in spaces where conversations flow, music plays, or entertainment takes place, ensuring a more comfortable and enjoyable ambiance.
This design is all about effortless elegance with a touch of personal expression. Let me know your thoughts—I’d love to refine anything to make sure it feels just right for you both!

Family Room / Play Room
This living space embraces a modern transitional design, blending contemporary elegance with warm, inviting elements. The neutral color palette of soft taupe and beige creates a soothing backdrop, while black furniture and accents add a refined contrast. A stone-clad fireplace serves as a cozy focal point, enhancing the room’s warmth and ambiance.
To introduce depth and texture, we incorporated wood paneling, plush textiles, and organic materials. The furniture selection balances clean-lined silhouettes with soft curves, subtly nodding to mid-century modern influences. Thoughtful details, such as the arched bookshelf, curated décor, and layered lighting, contribute to a harmonious and stylish aesthetic.
Designed with both functionality and comfort in mind, the space includes a dedicated area for family-friendly storage and a mix of seating options for relaxation. The result is a sophisticated yet approachable living area that feels both polished and welcoming.

Hunt Club Living Room
A New Chapter: Designing a Home That Feels Like Theirs
After a decade of moving between small European apartments, Brinya and her family were finally ready to put down roots in their first U.S. home. But with a limited budget and a mix of borrowed and inherited furniture, they faced a challenge—how to make the space feel truly theirs without rushing big purchases or expensive renovations.
That’s where I came in. My goal? To create a vision that gave them clarity and confidence as they slowly transformed their living space—something warm, inviting, and functional, all while embracing the home’s existing elements like carpet and honey oak trim.
Bringing Their Vision to Life
🔹 A Thoughtful Foundation – Since the family planned to invest in sofas later, I curated a layout that allowed flexibility while prioritizing comfort and flow.
🔹 Blending Old & New – To make the inherited pieces feel intentional, I layered in textiles, natural textures, and a warm neutral palette that tied everything together.
🔹 Clever Contrast – Black accent furniture and arched bookcases introduced depth and structure, adding a modern touch without overwhelming the space.
🔹 Budget-Friendly Updates – A painted mantle and brick fireplace would instantly refresh the room, creating a cozy focal point while keeping costs low.
🔹 Future-Proofing the Space – With planned kitchen renovations on the horizon, I ensured that the living room design would evolve seamlessly, no matter what changes came next.
Brinya loved IKEA’s belief that anyone should be able to afford a beautiful space, and I couldn’t agree more. With the right vision, thoughtful design choices, and a little patience, this house will become more than just a home—it will be a reflection of their journey, one intentional step at a time.

Modern Dining
When designing dining spaces, the key is to strike a balance between elegance, functionality, and personality. These two dining room concepts reflect unique interpretations of modern style, offering choices to fit different tastes and spaces.
Concept One: Understated Elegance
This design emphasizes a sleek, minimalist vibe. With muted tones, clean lines, and subtle textures, it creates a sense of calm and sophistication. The dark accent wall draws the eye while the balanced symmetry of furniture and lighting adds to the room’s refined appeal. This concept is perfect for clients seeking a timeless, understated modern look that feels grounded and intimate.
Concept Two: Bold & Expressive
For those looking to make a statement, this concept adds flair with bold patterns and graphic art. The wallpaper energizes the space, bringing a playful yet chic contrast to the darker tones of the furniture. It’s a style that dares to stand out while maintaining a polished, cohesive aesthetic. Ideal for clients who want their dining room to double as a conversation piece.
No matter which concept speaks to you, my role as your e-designer is to transform your vision into reality. I’ll take your preferences, lifestyle, and space needs to craft a design that feels uniquely yours. Let’s create something beautiful together—where function meets style, and your personality shines through every detail.

This is NOT a nursing or medical facility; it is a place that includes normal, lively activities-having fun, socializing and meeting new people, having meals together, exercising, learning, participating in creative workshops or classes, and connecting to the Internet.
